Looking back on Christmas

I guess the Christmas weekend was decent. I had dinner with Melissa on Friday, dinner with Tien and Yo on Saturday, lunch with them and Lily+Andre and dinner with Carrie on Sunday, and dinner and a movie with Evan, who was coincidentally in the bay area, on Monday. It was a full weekend.

Friday:
Met up with Mark B, Jeff W and Sameer in Union Square for some last minute shopping. For some reason, the vibe was all wrong, and nobody was really having fun. Oh well, these things happen. Everyone split. That's fine for those guys, they live in the city. I just drove 1+ hour through mad traffic, and I wasn't going to just leave like that. Called Melissa, dragged her out of the house to have dinner with me.

Saturday:
Went to Valley Fair to do some last minute shopping... You know, the stuff I was supposed to do on Friday? Got a gift for Tien. Massage chair thingy since Yo was probably gonna need it. Was going to spend the rest of Saturday at home, but while I was talking to Tien, he suggested dinner at Layang Layang. He picked me up, we had a sumptious meal (3 people, 5 dishes!). Life is good.

Sunday:
Dimsum brunch at Mayflower. Surprisingly, I was the first to get there. Tien and Yo live the nearest but those idiots were 45 minutes late! Sigh... Lunch was good. I haven't had dimsum in too long. Then again, waking up early doesn't agree with my body... In the evening, went to Carrie's place. Cooked my signature pan-seared salmon, and she made pasta salad and asparagus. I brought dessert - melted chocolate over brie. Watched some TV, but it was kinda a crappy day cos she was having a headache.

Monday:
Bruce told me Evan was in the bay area, so I called him up. Met up with him at Starbucks, went for a walk around Valley Fair, grabbed dinner at the extremely lousy sushi place at the mall, met up with Shelley and her friends for a movie (Family Stone, good movie).

It sounds like a really full Christmas weekend, but for some reason, I'm left feeling somewhat unfulfilled, like something is missing...
