Just had my housewarming party this last Sat. GREAT PARTY! Almost 50 people attended. Great feeling to be surrounded by people you like, positive people, fun people.
Dennis and I raced against the clock to get the party put together at the last minute... Vinyl record frames for the walls, framed photographs for the bar counter, a bamboo screen for my area, fresh flowers etc. A special thanks to Scott for helping out with the setting up - vacuuming the carpet, setting up the food area and generally being a cool guy. Another special thanks to Carrie for stopping by extra early to lend us the drill. We never got around to hanging up all 9 record frames. In fact, we only did one before we gave up. But we appreciated the gesture nonetheless.
A few people didn't turn up that I missed. Carrie K who fell sick, and Roger R who had girlfriend issues at the last minute. I understand their not showing up, but I wish they could have been there.
I also liked that Noreen showed up, even if she did show up incredibly late after her family dinner thing. But it was nice sitting there in my room, in the dark (THANKS DENNIS! LOL), watching Spawn with the sound off, while I gave her the rundown of what was happening.
And Mikey, you're an idiot for pulling off the bamboo screen...
