Wasted
Two 49er tickets for the Niners vs Titans game tonight... I can't make it, and nobody I know can make it, so I can't even give them away. What a waste of a perfectly good pair of tickets!

I was at the V Bar with Paul, Patrick and Amy when Tina called me one time too often. I dialed her back, passed the phone to Amy...

Amy: Cos Derek and I are very close friends, and we spend a lot of time together, and every time we're together you would call... so i was just wondering whether you and Derek are going out or something...

El Camino and something
David (my dentist's brother) just started doing TKD lessons at a friend's studio. According to him, there's only 4 or 5 guys signed up cos it's a really new studio. I was hoping to go there, get the space to train, and maybe help out with training the newbies. That would be cool.
Unfortunately, this happened...
Derek: Hey David, where's that TKD place?
David: It's on... err... on... El Camino Real and something. Hey, I'm not going this week though. Let's catch up next week?
Bummer. I'd been looking forward to it the whole day. Looks like I'm just gonna have to wait a week to get my kicks at the junction of El Camino Real and something.
Unfortunately, this happened...

Happy, pensive, and then some
Happy... Marcia is really happy. She's positively glowing. I hope that her intuition is correct and that he's really the guy for her, and everything she's giving up for him turns out to be worth it. I'm honestly happy for her, but I can't help but wonder. And Tania and Derek are getting married next year. He proposed, and now she's sporting a bigass rock on her finger.
Damn, why am I surrounded by all these cheerful happily attached un-single people?! Where's all my single brothers at?
Pensive... I'm listening to Ronan Keating sing the BeeGee's hit Words. And I'm thinking of all the stuff that's happened. Vossy not calling back. Shy calling back. Finding out the vulnerable side to Maggie's super-alpha other side. Getting (slightly) pissed off at Rob for screwing up a set he pushed me into.
Hmm... There's gotta be a hidden message in there somewhere.
It was Yee Chuan's birthday several days ago. Happy birthday dude. You probably don't read this stuff, but well, it's the thought that counts right? More or less.
Something to look forward to... I'm probably going to head out to Vegas for a weekend in September. Visit the folks. Play a little. Hang out with the guys. It'll be fun. Wonder if I should invite Grant. I guess it wouldn't hurt huh?

Each thread of life is like someone rolling a dice where a 6 on a dice roll means that something exciting will happen in that thread. If you have enough threads running through your life, odds are that at any instant, there will be one or more threads rolling up a 6. Roz in US - Update
Oh my god, I don't know how she does it! She's like this little crazy bundle of energy that keeps bouncing around from activity to activity. Small wonder she fell a little ill for a few days.
The two of them have been running up to SF almost every opportunity they get, except for one day when Kenny took my car down to Monterey for the day. I think they've pretty much covered all of SF (ie more than what I know) and now they are in Vegas. I wonder what they'll do in Vegas since they're not really into gambling and there's only so many shows you can watch. Then again, what do I know? I'm not the one who's running crazy on adrenaline.
