More on my teeth

After the frivolity of my previous few posts, it feels good to write about something more substantial.

Here's the approx plan/timeline as far as my teeth are concerned

1. Create an impression
After I get back from Singapore, I'm going to get temporary removable dentures made.

2. Extraction
A week or so after (1), my dentures should be ready. Now I can get my teeth extracted. I've decided to extract four teeth, not three as per original plan. Dr David suggested 4 teeth because the canines are the strongest teeth and extracting a 4th tooth would allow the bridge to be anchored across two canines, which will make it stronger. After the extraction, I'll be wearing my temp dentures for purely cosmetic purposes while my gums heal.

3. Replacement
After about a month, my gums should heal sufficiently to get a real permanent bridge install in my mouth.

So all in all, I'm looking at a early July timeframe for everything to be completed. YAY!
