Roz in US
Roz is visiting me next week. That is SO COOL! I've been inviting her to visit me for close to ten years, and she's finally getting her butt to Cali. Pretty damn awesome!!!!!

Actually, Roz is SICK of chinese food, unless u can bring her some place with VERY GOOD chinese indeed.
There's plenty of good Chinese food around London. Just need to know where to find it.. ;)

Viet food. Prolly more Viet stuff in SJ than in all 32 boros anyway.
How about Savannah Chanelle? Half Moon Bay? Berkeley (remember the lookout I showed you)? Bodega Bay if you don't mind the drive. Big Sur if you're going all the way down to Monterey anyway. Possibly Hearst Castle, although I'm sure London beats it.

Hearst Castle... Definitely not. European castles will kick American castles ass anytime.

It's fantastic! X-D For Berkeley, there's a nice little gelato place on Shattuck near Center. The lookout can be reached if you go toward the Haas Business School, then turn up the hill right in front of the main gate. Following that road will take you past the field, then past the botanical gardens (on the right), right after which you'll make a hairpin left turn, which you'll follow. There's a 90° right-hander after that, and you're there! If you continue along the road instead of getting off, then make a right at the first intersection, that'll take you to Lake Anza.
In the city (SF), I highly recommend Chachacha's. I've only been to the Haight-Ashbury location (a bitch to park at) but the sangria rocks my world, plus the tapas are amazing. Things to try - pulled pork, plantains, coconut sauce shrimp. yum.
(SJ) Maggianos family style dinners is always good - the Nonna's Pound Cake for dessert is *to-die-for* (I have dreams about this...)
I also love Banana Leaf in Milpitas for Malaysian food - not sure if you guys would like malaysian food since you get that from Singapore...
Then there are dozens of little mexican food places, where my friends are delighted and wow-ed by the authentic cheap eats of a REAL burrito...
Then there's BJ's brewery which serves a delish "pizooki" - soft-baked fresh hot cookie topped with scoops of fantasic vanilla bean ice cream. A dessert melt in your mouth. The beer's great too, I recommend the jeremiah red.
