Speaking at Stanford

Dennis and I are speaking at Stanford University later today on dating and how to turbocharge your dating life. I'm super excited at this opportunity. I'm probably making it out to be more than it actually is. After all, this is stuff that I could talk about with my eyes closed, half asleep, or even dead drunk. Over the last year, I've been eating, drinking and practically BREATHING social dynamics.

I. Know. My. Shit.

But it doesn't make me any less excited, or less nervous. I mean, this is freakin' S-T-A-N-F-O-R-D. It's not quite your average community college. And yet, at the same time, a Stanford college student is going to go through the same dating crisis as every other college student.

I'm going to rock this presentation. I know it in my bones. But I'm still nervous :)

PS: The presentation will be audio recorded, and I may even be able to get it video'ed!

Eat your brains

Too damn funny... Great song, great video.

New contacts?

Right now, I'm testing out the new Extreme H2O contact lenses. Ideally, I would like to be to wear them for up to 24 hours, for those days where I'm going out straight after work, and I don't want to deal with wearing my spectacles in the day and then having to change to contacts at work. So far, I have been very happy with it, but we'll see how we fel after a few more days of infield testing.

The Road Not Taken

Just sharing a very well known poem written by Robert Frost in 1915. I like it, and I think it is an accurate reflection of how our choices echo throughout our lives.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Singapore trip!

I'll be back in Singapore in April. I'm arriving in Singapore at 11.30pm on Saturday night. I intend to spend the night in Singapore, then take the shuttle to Malaysia on Sunday morning. Uh... more like afternoon, knowing my sleeping habits.

I'll spend the next few days in Malaysia and head back to Singapore for Ye Lin's wedding on either Wed or Thu, most likely Wed night or Thu. Then I'll head back to Cali on Monday morning.

YAAAAAAY!
